The TDD1-IRF is used to alter the configuration of the TDD1 vehicle detector. The TDD1-IRF uses Infra-red transmission to uni-directionally communicate with the TDD1 and send commands, similar to an IR-remote control of a TV. Maximum distance in normal outdoor environment is about 15-20 meters.
