Polixel (Poland) deploys 74 TDC3 on 19 gantries for custom vehicle classification

Each vehicle to be assigned data set with both license plates via ANPR and respective vehicle class using TDC3 overhead traffic detector. System covers all road border crossings on countries’ West and South border

Eschenbach, February 26th, 2020:  Polixel bid and won a project for ANPR and vehicle classification project in Poland that, among other equipment, called for 74 TDC3 non-intrusive, overhead traffic detectors to do the vehicle classification portion. Pawel Wawrowski, Commercial Director at Polixel, explains: ”The project involved 19 sets of ANPR control points at all road border crossings on Poland’s west and south borders. The control points comprise of gantries with ANPR cameras in combination with TDC3-5 traffic detectors. The system creates a data set for each vehicle, consisting of both a front and rear license plate along with the vehicle class. We met ADEC during the implementation of ITS projects and they were quickly prepared to implement the custom classification required by the end customer – Polish Chamber of Tax Administration. Cooperation with ADEC was very good and we are looking forward to joint projects in the future.”

“We were able to create and deliver a custom classification scheme based on the requirements Polixel had to meet. We are very excited that our TDC3 detectors became part of this project,  concluding successfully, owing to a large part to the professional and diligent work put forward by Polixel”, adds Andreas Hartmann, Managing Director at ADEC Technologies AG.
