Camina

Commissioning and Monitoring Interface with Network Access

The Commissioning and Monitoring Interface with Network Access (Camina) is an industrial, Linux-based hardware that connects the ADEC RS-485 detector bus to an IP or other serial network. The Camina can, similar to the BS2-TS, collect and transmit data from ADEC TDC traffic detectors to the ADEC cloud for processing, visualization and storage. In conjunction with the DIO expansion module (part #11660) the Camina becomes an actuator for ADEC Cloud functions, toggling outputs to signal predetermined conditions (requires permanent Internet connection to the Camina) to 3rd party equipment about prevalent traffic conditions, such as traffic congestion events etc.

Order No.: 11650

Features:

  • Data Concentrator
Gathers and stores traffic data from ADEC traffic detectors
  • Protocol Converter
Sends, or makes available, the traffic data in custom, project-specific manner
  • Two RJ45 Network Ports
Standard network interface for traffic data transmission or protocol conversion, secondary port for local service/tech access
  • Remote Site Access
Permits remote access to detectors via IP
  • Wide operating temperature range -20 to +55°C (-4 to +131°F)
Optimal performance in all weather and climate conditions

Applications

Typical applications include, but are not limited to:

  • Traffic data concentrator and transmitter (outstation, edge device)
  • Actuator for ADEC traffic data acquisition and processing solution (ADEC Cloud, requires DIO, part #11660)
  • Protocol converter to project-specific, serial or IP-based protocols
  • Remote-accessible service tool for on-site diagnostics and trouble-shooting
  • Mains-powered IoT Gateway for the ADEC cloud
